There are many reasons to travel, and simple curiosity is at the heart of  them all.  Curiosity is the most human of attributes, and is responsible for all advances mankind has achieved.

Just like any worthwhile investigation, visiting England has given rise to both new knowledge and new questions.

While England has many similarities to the US, there are also many differences worth pondering.  There is a sense of deep history that is evident in the present.  People here live alongside the past in a way that is not possible in the US.

We will remember the progressive civility of Britain,  the lovely waterways, the seemingly endless permutations of the color green, and the welcoming people. 

There are many reasons to return, and we hope to do so.   Our beverage research is woefully inadequate and much more data  is needed before meaningful conclusions can be drawn.

We encourage you to follow the object of your curiosity, be it art, nature,  archaeology, history, or whatever draws your interest.    Pick the most compatible means to do so.  Go on your own, or with a tour, on foot, by boat, or by bus, but DO go.
